Sarah Hassan, MA

Hey, this is Sarah! I recently earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology and am currently working towards my PsyD degree. I specialize in treating PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I also have experience working with depression, self-harm, and psychotic disorders.

**I am fluent in both Arabic and English. I am equipped to deliver comprehensive services in either language.

In therapy sessions, I prioritize a comfortable space with unconditional positive regard, empathic understanding, and a collaborative approach to therapy.  My approach is founded on evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, which would all be tailored to each individual's needs. I also tend to incorporate a systems and humanistic approach depending on each individual. I believe that individuals' past experiences profoundly shape their current emotions and cognitions, which influences how one perceives and responds to their environment. My goal is to help process the intricate threads of the past in order to help clients understand the impact of their history on their present state, in hopes of fostering a more peaceful and positive outlook on the world.

Therapy can be an uncomfortable experience especially if it is your first time, but I am here to process those feelings with you and collaborate to tailor the space to your needs and ultimately create a comfortable and empowering space that helps foster healing. I look forward to working with you!
