Annette Alatorre, Intern

Hi there! My name is Annette. I primarily work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I specialize and work with anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, PTSD, intimate partner violence, women’s issues, life transitions, challenges, self-esteem, grief, and more. I practice sex positivity and LGBTQIA+ affirmative care.

I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about social justice, human, and animal rights.

My primary approach to psychotherapy is through a holistic lens by acknowledging that mental health issues impact the whole person (mind, body, and soul). I want to meet you where you are, so we can work together to allow the best version of yourself to shine through.

As a teen mom and a high school dropout at the age of 15, I am proud of where I am today. I come from a lineage of family dysfunction and generational mental health struggles. I take pride in being a multi-generational, cycle-breaker. I have spent the better half of my adulthood working on myself and working through difficult times. Therefore, I take great pleasure in working together as a team in a comfortable, all welcoming space to create goals and a treatment plan that is tailored to you.

I provide a safe and judgmental free zone to be your authentic self. I am excited to help you navigate through life’s bumps and triumphs. I invite you to consider allowing me to be a part of your journey of finding hope, joy, and excitement about your life now and for your future.

“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.”
