Hi, my name is Klariza! I am passionate about working with teens and young adults as they begin to navigate the many social, emotional, and cognitive changes that come with growing up. I specialize in helping others work through anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, grief, and relationships.
I am currently working on receiving my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling at Concordia University. My goal as a therapist is to become the person my younger self needed; someone who was able to provide a safe space to explore emotions and provide compassionate and empathic guidance. I aim to make clients feel comfortable, heard, and valued.
My approach is integrative, pulling from different counseling theories and techniques as I examine the unique needs of each client to find the most helpful tool. However, I do have a preference for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches. I believe that for some, learning to accept their thoughts and emotions instead of denying them is a huge help in healing from negative experiences. I also enjoy helping clients explore their dreams and become aware of issues that may not be as outwardly present or obvious.
I’m very excited to help you on your healing journey towards a more positive and fulfilling life, and help you see what a resilient person you can be.
