Hi, I’m Winston! I am currently pursuing my Masters in Social Work with Northeastern Illinois University. Previously, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia College, with an emphasis in counseling theory and research methodology. My background in housing and my interest in working with young adults incline me towards supporting individuals processing the anxiety and uncertainty of transitional phases of life.
I believe that every person’s needs are individual and require a bespoke approach, and it is my goal to be prepared with many theoretical tools to support and encourage your personal growth.
I have a deep appreciation for the intersection between science and philosophy that counseling inhabits, and I strive to bring authentic, evidence-based therapy through the vehicles of unconditional positive regard, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
Outside of the therapy room and the classroom, I enjoy playing video games, writing music, and studying language.
I strongly believe in the collaborative nature of therapy, and I look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow together!
